YSU College of STEM First Annual Award Dinner

FirstLink

FirstLink is the Department of Defense’s (DoD) National Center of Excellence for First Responder Technology Transfer, both civilian and military.  At no cost to program users, FirstLink creates connections between businesses and DoD by assisting with technology validation, transfer, licensing and commercialization, identifying research in progress for collaborative and joint opportunities.  www.dodfirstlink.dod

 

Alpha Micron

Founded by three Kent State University faculty members of the Liquid Crystal Institute to fulfill an Air Force SBIR award to develop a liquid crystal visor for helmets, this for-profit business has a patented technology that is basis for several commercial applications including digital lens eyewear, market-ready fashion, auto dimming mirrors and electronic shutters. www.alphamicron

 

Ohio Aerospace Institute
